A Strawberry Shortcake Kind of Birthday

It really tickled my grandma Hazel that so many of you were kind enough to wish her a happy 92nd birthday over the weekend. She said to thank you for thinking of her. She had a wonderful birthday surrounded by family and friends. For her birthday cake, she requested that I make my strawberry shortca ...

I made angel food cake tonight. I'll get pictures of it assuming I acquire batteries for my camera sometime before the cake is eaten. In the meantime, have this snail: Oh yeah, I'm having way too much fun with these guys.

[005] + link +

Whew, a rather good first day on the job, I'd say. I wish I were doing more baking and less shop-keeping, but everyone needs a little insurance in their recipes, I guess. As I prove I can actually do them right, eventually I'm sure I'll make the early morning baking crew and do all the baking I want ...
