東京都新宿区代々木にあるブルガリア大使館に行ってきた。 ブルガリア大使館 ビザ申請など特段用事もなく、ブルガリア大使館の建物を見に行った。なぜかというと、ブルガリア大使館は、かの有名建築家、丹下健三氏が手がけた作品であるからだ。 丹下氏の代表作品といえば、国内のもので挙げれば、新東京都庁舎、フジテレビ本社ビル、東京ドームホテルなどがある。それらは全て“未来的”なデザイン。しかし、ブルガリア大使館が竣工されたのは1974年。今から30年以上も前。その頃の作風は一体どんなものだったのだろうか、ということが気になったのだ。 代々木公園から歩くこと数分。閑静な住宅街の中にブルガリア大使館はあった。建物 ...
